
The temperatures may have dropped during the day, but the cloud and sudden downpours came just in time for the bluebells which had been suffering from a lack of water. They were late blooming this year because of the chilly nights, but it was worth the wait. As we walked through the wood we were treated to a glorious display of bank holiday bluebells that seemed to ebb and flow as we moved; I hope this selection of photographs can convey some of their beauty.
Indeed, they are beautiful. I guess the place must be more soulful and meaningful than displayed in photos.
