Waiting for the spring

Ahh – foiled by the school holidays (again!).  With no hope of any quiet to sit and write, here instead is a photograph post.  All these pictures have been taken since Christmas as I impatiently wait for spring to arrive in our wood. You can see the different freezing events in this ice from the wood – it’s like tree rings.  How cool is that?! (Well, below freezing obviously 🙂 )
