Bumps in the road

Coming on top of a very difficult period in our lives, the last thing we needed was Covid. I simply couldn’t believe it when my lateral flow test was positive. Peta, Amos and Melody followed. Mark and Joe’s tests were negative, but over the following two days PCR tests confirmed all six of us had the virus we’d been trying to protect ourselves from for nearly two years. By the time the results came in, I needed no convincing – I felt more ill than I have in a very long time. It’s taken well over three weeks to get back some semblance of a normal routine, but we were so lucky. We are all on the mend. This is obviously going to take time though, so I have decided to take a break with the blog. I’m going to be guided by the trees; a period of stillness to weather dark days. I’m holding out for the solstice, when the days begin to lengthen and light creeps back, when the wood begins its reawakening. Till then, keep well and safe. I hope to connect with you all again soon.
